- Was having a tinker with a possible logo. Do folk think that an open Parliament-style portcullis, with appropriate words, would be okay? I'm concerned that there are probably pretty stringent usage restrictions. The parliament.uk site suggests that taking the crown off might suffice. --Ashok 08:50, 3 March 2009 (UTC)
- I was thinking that the logo could possibly be Big Ben with an Ethernet cable wrapped round it. Wikimedia has pictures of the Palace of Westminster. I'd do it, but I'm a bit busy at the moment. --Tom Morris 09:04, 3 March 2009 (UTC)
- I threw together a quick draft of a possible portcullis thing, but it is quite rough. --Ashok 09:53, 3 March 2009 (UTC)
- I rather like that, Ashok, nice one! Are others happy to go with this? --Dave 10:28, 3 March 2009 (UTC)
- Hi just joined - I think your logo is good Ashok and appropriate too
- I wasn't sure about using the OSI logo, as I didn't dig and read the conditions of use. Now I look, their FAQ makes me think not. That said, if it is okay, I think the portcullis thing would look good opening over the OSI keyhole logo, and then we could put the text to the side. If anyone wants to tinker with these things, I can throw the SVG file on here. SaltedLiquorice's logo is much more beautifully rendered, but I'd worry that it looks like 'pensourcegov' at first glance. --Ashok 16:01, 5 March 2009 (UTC)
- Is it possible to allow SVG file uploads on this wiki? I just tried to put the source file for
up, but it doesn't allow the file type. Ashok 08:06, 14 April 2009 (UTC)
